Behind the Scenes of Making Cornelia, the Butterfly Catcher
This listing features Cornelia, the butterfly catcher, a whimsical guardian of wildflowers. We were inspired to make her after a walk through Central Park of Manhattan where we saw a plethora of yellow Echinechea flowers (both dark purple and yellow). The beautiful hue of the yellow caught my eye and I wanted to recreate that color in a fairy. BUT I felt like being extra creative, so I added in hues of blue and felted red and orange roses onto her dress to give it a pop! The dress was embellished with multicolored beads.
This dainty fairy is gracefully sitting on a twig, with a pink butterfly perched onto the branch.
You can hang this fairy near a window sill, in a bedroom. She makes a wonderful gift and highlights any room.
